It all begins with an idea.

Inspired by Japanese technical design principles, I developed my looks using a range of techniques and materials, including hand-stitched beading, fabric distressing, textile stuffing, and 3D-printed accessories.

Charged with the challenge of using only secondhand fabrics and garments to give them new life, I created a two-piece kimono and hakama set while exploring the art of denim patchwork.

Organized as part of the Art of Contrast event by the student fashion organization, participants were challenged to seamlessly integrate their own design aesthetics with the iconic style of the late Vivienne Westwood.
